The students in the current program at Oak Ridge HS will be performing at the Viola da Gamba Society of America’s Gamba Gamut at the Boston Early Music Festival this summer. For these students its a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to this festival and perform.
I am very proud how hard these students have worked this year. They just started playing back in September 2018. The picked up concepts on how the sound and the mechanics of of the viol work quickly.
We have had the pleasure to perform as the pre-show for orchestras concerts at the high school, Viols of Houston Gambaramba, reception for Houston Early Music at the Parthenia Concert and were invited to perform at Mu Phi Epsilon Concert Series back in March.

We need your HELP!
We are seeking donations to help with putting together this trip!
Just for flights from Houston to Boston will be $4,200.
Then housing will be around $2,500. We are looking at an AirBnB or the dorms at the college.
The students are hard at work looking at local business to seek sponsorship for the trip.
For a donation of $50 we will give you a Les Touches Gamba T shirt which was designed by Stephanie Raby. It is showcased below by my lovely gamba teacher Wendy Gillespie.
Below is the link to make a donation.
